BG Realm League Rules

* Most important rule: Honor; Respect; and Value for the Game!

* LadderStats: This is a rated room, and tournaments are rated unless a specific
event states otherwise. All ladder matches, tournaments, and ongoing tours must
be played in the league room. Neptune will record wins for match verification.

* Basic sportsmanship is required. Please say Good Luck or something similar at the
start of each match, and Good Game or something similar at the end of each game.

* Top 10 players must play at least once daily, not including invite tournaments.
Players who do not meet this requirement will be dropped five rungs for inactivity.

* If it is confirmed that you are playing elsewhere while seated at a table in BG
Realm, you will be disqualified.

* Please do not leave the table until the final score appears and identifies the
winner. If the game appears incomplete in the lobby, the Tournament Director
may ask you to return and finish the game properly.

* You may not kibitz a table unless you first receive permission from the players in
the match. If permission is given, please respect the game and keep hands off
the keyboard so the match can continue without interruptions. You may check
another player’s score by hovering your mouse over the table.

* If you wish to play in the next 1v1 tournament and are not in the finals of the
current 1v1 tour, you must forfeit within five minutes of the new tournament
starting.

Team Tournaments
* In team tournaments, once a pairing is called, an absent player will be given five
minutes before a substitute is found. If the original player does not return within
20 minutes of the timer starting, the substitute becomes permanent. If a team is
already using a substitute and the other original player is missing, that player has
five minutes to return; after that, the team will be disqualified because both
original team players are gone.

* In a 2v2 tournament, if the autos are uneven five minutes after the start time, the
Tournament Director will remove the last auto player who joined. Please register
early on auto so you are not removed. This rule does not apply to themed or
special team tournaments.

* Missing or booted players have five minutes total per round. Substitute players
are used only during team tournaments because it would not be fair to time out
the entire team if one partner is booted or missing.

League Matches
* League games: Matches may be played to either 5 or 7 points. If your opponent
does not agree to 7 points, the default match length is 5 points. Report your loss
using the Report Loss link under the Standings tab.

* #1 vs. #2 matches: These matches must be played within 72 hours. Players
must use the formal challenge option on their account page to schedule the
match. Only the #1 and #2 players may issue a formal challenge. Matches
between #1 and #2 must be played to 7 or 9 points. (Admin and/or TDs will notify
the players via private messaging through myleague they have a match to play).
The 3 days will be counted from that date on the message.

* If someone is available for ladder play, please advertise “LadderMatch @ table
#.” If more than one person wants to play, ratings are called, and the highest-
rated player of the two will play the advertiser.

Daily Tournaments
* If your opponent is playing slowly or you are having any other issues at the table,
please message the Tournament Director and ask them to come to your table. If
you are found chatting frequently in the lobby and slowing down your game, you
will be asked to stop chatting while playing.

* We try to start tournaments on time. However, if a player is having difficulty
signing up, we may wait a few minutes. Please do not make comments in the
lobby that could make that person feel unwelcome.

* The first person listed, or the top player in the bracket, has table choice and seat
choice.

* These are rated games in both the room and MyLeague. Please check the table
settings before starting your game.

* Both players are responsible for verifying the table settings before beginning. If a
player is disqualified and it is found that the table was set incorrectly, the player
who misset the match must resign to their opponent. The match should then be
reset correctly and played.

* Timers will not be used until one minute after pairings are given. This allows
players time to see who they are playing and create their table. If a player is not
in the lobby, the timer will start when the pairing is announced.

* If you need LadderBux to join a tournament, please ask in the lobby. If the
Tournament Director is unable to gift because premium status is required, they
will help you find someone who can. Please do not ask for Bux to join high roller
tournaments with a 1,000 Bux entry, as gifting is limited each week.

* Any forfeits made to join the next tournament must occur no later than five
minutes before the scheduled start time of that tournament.

* Please wait for pairings to be announced before sitting at tables, out of respect
for our hosts. Losing players should not report tournament matches. If this
happens repeatedly after reminders not to report, the player may be dropped.
